We believe you should always know when a link could earn us money. This page follows the spirit of the US Federal Trade Commission's rules on endorsements, and similar rules elsewhere. Here is where we stand.
Right now
Barrel and Banter does not currently use affiliate links, and nobody pays us to feature a drink, a brand or a shop in our articles, quiz or chat.
If that changes
In the future we may join affiliate programs with online drink shops. If we do:
- A link that may earn us a commission will be marked clearly, for example with "affiliate link" next to it.
- If you buy through such a link, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Our recommendations will not be changed by commissions. We choose drinks because we think they suit what you asked for.
- Prices, stock and delivery are decided by the shop, not by us. We cannot guarantee them, and some shops only deliver to certain countries.
Gifts and sponsored content
If we are ever given a product or paid to feature something, we will say so on that page.
